IOSH Managing Safely Training Courses

Oasys Training & Safety Services offer the standard IOSH Managing Safely course; the IOSH Managing Safely in the Exhibition & Event Industry course; and the IOSH Re-certification course.

The Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) course is designed to reflect the requirements set to managers and supervisors upon whom the responsibilities fall for operational safety. This course also acts as a wonderful foundation from which to progress to the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) National General Certificate. Part-time health and safety staff, safety representatives and graduates have also found it to be invaluable in providing essential skills for putting health and safety theory into practice.

Time Span

The Managing Safely course can be spread over a convenient time span, such as over four consecutive days, or one / two days per week. On conclusion of the course delegates will have improved knowledge and understanding of health and safety management, and will be able to manage their organisational health and safety issues in a more proactive and practical way.

Course Structure

The programme includes overnight project work and concludes with a multi-choice examination. Delegates are required to complete a workplace-based project, which forms part of the overall assessment and must be returned to us within 14 days. A minimum pass rate of 70% is required for certification. An IOSH Managing Safely certificate is awarded to all those who attend the course and successfully complete the written and practical assessments.

This course is presented in-house and as a public course.

Re-certification

Please note: The IOSH Re-certification course is open to delegates who attended and successfully passed an IOSH Managing Safety course within the last 3 years. Delegates whose certificates are more than three years old please call oasys to discuss, prior to booking on the course. We would seek the advice from IOSH regarding their ability to certificate upon completion of the course.
